Elite Quality Oil Paints from the French Riviera
Charvin Fine Artists' Oils are made using traditional recipes that date back over 175 years. Crafted in the French Riviera, these oils use some of the oldest and most respected production methods still in use today. Charvin blends traditional and modern pigments with a mixture of linseed and non-yellowing poppy oils to create a smooth, creamy consistency with vibrant color.
The main difference between Charvin Fine Oils and Extra Fine Oils is the milling time. Fine Oils are milled for about half as long as Extra Fine Oils, resulting in a slightly less refined texture while still delivering excellent smoothness and brilliance. Toxic and caustic pigments have been replaced with modern, safe alternatives without sacrificing color performance or permanence.
Charvin's attention to detail and dedication to time-tested methods has earned them a place among the most respected oil colors available today, offering artists elite quality at an affordable price.
